The Electronic Copy-editing and Proofreading course is offered online. It consists of twelve units, and each unit consists of between one and seven topics (altogether there are 25 topics). The course content complements readings from the prescribed book, The Natural Creative Process in Writing: a Core Writing and Editing Handbook for Everyone, the PDF version of which is available for purchase from the WriteArt Shop web page.
You have 10 months in which to complete this course. If for valid reasons, you cannot finish it within this period, this period will be extended.
At the end of each lesson, there are a few questions that you will need to complete. These do not count towards attaining your certificate, but they do enable you and your course leader to identify any areas in which you may need assistance. Your course leader is available throughout the course to assist where necessary, and this is done on an online (VOIP) call.
After satisfactorily completing all of the units, topics and topic questions, and based on your performance in a practical and a final assessment, your certificate will be issued.
